And all of us in Pittsburgh are very fortunate that Manfred Honeck has chosen ours.  The 2017-2018 season of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra marks 10 years of an acclaimed partnership between this world renowned conductor and the incomparable PSO.  WQED celebrates the artistry and vision of Manfred Honeck, and encourages everyone to attend Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra performances in this 10th Anniversary Year!

Pat and Michele Atkins have received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the organization of Fundraising Professionals in the United States. They were honored in May 2018 by Pittsburgh Opera for establishing the Audience Development Fund with a $1.2 million dollar grant. Earlier they gave a major grant to support the Pittsburgh Symphony of $1 million and a $1.5 million grant to establish the Center for Ethics at Carlow University.
